Active signal-generating spacer-fabric-type continuous touch/pressure sensor
2023
This study demonstrates an active signal-generating spacer-fabric-type continuous touch/pressure sensor comprising five yarn layers: surface-insulating cotton, upper conductive, monofilament spacer, lower conductive and bottom-insulating cotton yarn.
A Scientometric Analysis and Visualization of Prosthetic Foot Research Work: 2000 to 2022
2023
This study aims to highlight recent research work on topics around prosthetic feet through a scientometric analysis and historical review. The most cited publications from the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Core Collection database were identified and analyzed from 1 January 2000 to 31 October 2022.
Biomechanical Analysis of Unilateral Transtibial Amputees Using Prosthetic Foot during Treadmill Walking at Varying Slopes
2023
This research was conducted to better understand compensatory strategies during cross-slope walking for adults with and without a unilateral transtibial amputation.
Pliable Logic as a Practice-Led Research Methodology for Textile Practice
2023
In this paper, the researcher would like to propose a novel research methodology based on pleating action and how pleats are formulated, herein named “pliable logic.” It provides a recursive and malleable production and thinking route that encourages researchers to seek meanings in between different phases of textile thinking and research.
Construction of foot-movement monitoring sensor based on triboelectric signals via embroidery technique with PDMS coated conductive cotton yarn
2023
A foot pressure sensor was fabricated by using Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) coated conductive cotton yarn via embroidery technique. Cotton yarn was firstly modified with a silane coupling agent and coated with rGO to form a conductive core yarn, following by a coating of PDMS sheath layer.
Evaluation of age-related differences in foot anthropometry among women
2023
Foot morphological changes induced by degenerative processes are commonly found in old people. Such changes in foot anthropometry may adversely affect foot health and footwear comfort, and prolonged use of ill-fitting footwear may even cause foot deformation.
