A Novel Low-cost Prosthetic Foot Design for Unilateral Transtibial Amputees at Elevated Activity Levels

This project aims to design and develop a low-cost prosthetic foot for unilateral transtibial amputees and therefore affordable to most individuals with lower limb loss. With an appropriate design and material properties, the prosthetic foot allows storage of elastic energy and gradual return of mechanical energy so that there is suitable support during elevated activity levels such as walking on terrains, running, and jumping.
